TI is home to some world class athletes who can sustain a knee-deep slog on a low-volume wave board for as long as it takes to get back home. And they are more than happy to share their knowledge and feed your slog-stoke. |

I'd try it, if I can find an up-hawler.

San Luis Res 7/16/2014
They put water in the pool
At 12:30 pm 220.5 The beach and peninsula are gone next
to the tree.
There was about .5 feet of water there today.
Weeds can't been seen on the surface but they are right under it.
I did the live report but there is no way to convey water level
or weed situation from the multiple choice answers they have.
Started a 4.7 but it was up and down and not enough. It sort of
went up and down all afternoon and there were some holes and gusts.
Went to a 5.3 pretty quick and alternated between a wave board
and freestyle board. There was no way to be perfectly tuned across
the reach and through the afternoon. |

Never sailed Palo Alto before until today Wednesday. High tide so plenty of water. Nice wind, 5.0 for me fine on big board. Other sailors on everything from wave board, to freestyle, to Formula gear out there today. Nice and warm. Smiles and stoke, good day. _________________ Carve the face! |

Right when you left the wind got completely out of control. Had to be be blowing 30-40. Strange thing was the wind sensor showed that it dropped to about 18 and clocked a little southwest from straight west. The sensor must get in a little wind shadow at that direction.
It wasn't quite blowing over the porta potty wind; but it was really hard to open the car door and trunk to pack up. |

heh, that was as brutal a slog as I've had in recent memory. wind was very west, so very light/non-existent/holey inside. would have helped to have an uphaul on my boom. All in all, though, it was nice outside. Was actually powered for awhile on 4.4/89... then of course Berkeley went Berkeley, and it died. I guess I should've kept driving to the Delta. _________________ Kevin Kan

Instead of the slog there was the bump and grind inside with a westerley wind. No problem going out or coming back. |
