And here I thought it was just me! Smile

Hi Dave..
Berkeley has been ok upwind of Lordship almost every day these past 2 weeks.
Hope you are sailing still, this late in the year.
I still mainly sail below the 3rd dock, so have been foiling.

With the NW on the coast, Berkeley has become light and barely sailable with 7 meter sails, but OK with 5 and foil.
Getting lotsa foiling, not progressing much except light steady breeze and flat water helps lots.
Not getting the foiling jibe, usually touching down at initiation, then foiling from downwind and out.
Clumsy feet and frozen brain don't help, nor do advanced age and lack of balance.

We are still in high wind season on the ... west coast. That means, for me, not thinking much about foiling. I did take it out a few days ago and it was ok for a little while until the white caps came roaring in and I limped back to shore Twisted Evil

We'll see what happens mid September to mid November ... plenty people are doing very well on foil!

Big love and thanks to all my buddies who helped me hump my shit across the dog park today after a becalmed tour of both jetties. Grandpa is feeling old tonight.

After a couple of good days at Coyote, Stick delivers today. Two solid hours in 5.4 conditions. Lovely really with the RRD FSW + 30 Fang fin + ACX 5.4 in complete control and way way powered up. I hit 29+ knots, probably on the down winds when something starts to whistle. That is quite good for a FSW and it feels like walk in the Park, but still far from the 32-33 I know I can do at the Stick on slalom. If this board was just a bit more powerful in the tail and maybe a bit faster across the wind it would be the perfect weapon for 5.0-6.5 Bay Area! Very Happy

I am the only one out all afternoon, just when the wind drops a bit Elena, Tim and Kevin show up. Only Elena gets out with 4.4 and seems to be doing just fine!

Lots short period wind the past 3 days.
Wed way powered 6 and new to me Naish Freeride 105.
Bit rough ride with basically flat bottom but should have been on 5.2. At least it's lively.

Were you not on Slingshot?

No, inherited '18 Naish setup, haven't tried the Slingshot because I'm the worse bongo board balancer ever.
Some days, my feet totally refuse to move during a jibe.

Foiled Tigers 9/5 from 12:30 to 2 pm on a 4.7 sail. Holey with mondo gusts..the usual fare at this sailing spot, but the wind was somewhat steadier up at the birdcage. I've been alternating between windsurfing and foil, so as to not be a one trick pony..
