After a couple of good days at the O'Neill Forebay at the San Luis Reservoir, I thought I would give my poor left shoulder a rest and just WindSUP at Pleasure Point in the 4 to 8 knot light winds there today. However, in those light of winds, pumping is required. Will be icing my shoulder again tonight....[img][/img]

Strange day Thurs at Berk.
Strong NW setup.
Arrived at 2, mix of Sw and Wsw undecided at 7-21.
I think it goes to Sw, so rig big..84 liters and 5.2.
Naturally, me wrong. Goes Wsw, and up to 17-29 or so for the whole hour and 45 minute.
Interesting sailing with guys on 3.8 to 4.0's.
Best sailing with Christian, he's 185lbs on a 4.7.
Consistent 2 jumps starboard but only one per run coming in.

Sunday heat wave day at Da Stick. Only me and Dan foiling. To be honest it did not look windy enough, and I didn't have my 5.2 or 4.8 in the van. Dan went out on 5.2/125/76... slogged out a ways and got up on the wing and foiled all the way to Brisbane. I rigged my 4.4/125/76 and had a great time. No wetsuit required! Totally amazing to be windsurfing/foiling in such light wind with such small sails.

Warm Monday at Berkeley.
This site showed rising W wind around 3, so I rig my 1995 Gaastra CS 6.0 next to one of the foiling gods on his 2019 Duotone WARP 6.2.
Great powered 105 liter wind, maybe 12-20 mph but with a long W wind slog out.
Another foil bud on 5.5 then 5.2 while another CSC foiler on 5.5.

Hawaii like temperature at Candlestick today (Tuesday) making it a very pleasant day of sailing on shorty or board short. About a dozen of people showed up, including 4 foilers. Windsurfers were mostly on 5.0/100sh stuff. Wind came down around 6:30.

Saved the day at Pt. Isabel today, which was my first (in 20 years sailing the Bay).
Not as nice as Berkeley, but definitely clean and steadier wind (today).
Always planning on 122Freemove and 6.0Ezzy Tiger.
At least other 8-10 sailors out at different times (1 foiling).
Booties of some sort reccomended!!!

Looking for sun, ended up at Larkspur 6.0 and 105 well powered from SQ to Paradise Cay. Very flat water and good top speeds.

Fun day at Coyote. Cold, tons of fog north west and it is still a strange day with the wind not filling in even remotely at the beach and two, not one, wind lines, but at least I am VERY powered up with 5.8 at the outside markers. Nice swell, occasionally breaking.
Lot's of windsurfers out despite the non-ideal conditions, At some point I count 14 with 7 foils that are doing very well in the conditions. It the first time I see more windsurfers than kites (I count 5), wind foiling seems to be bringing back some numbers to the sport. And with a reason: today it took 15' of slogging to get out to the wind line while the foils were up few yards from the beach!
