Had a nice session at Natural Bridges today. I was on the Angulo WindSUP with my Ezzy 7.0. One other windsurfer out on a 7.2.
Only thing is, I cannot recommend Natural Bridges on a summer Holiday Weekend. It took another windsurfer, who was not sailing today, and I, to talk to about a dozen people to try and clear a path to launch. Coming in it took the fellow windsurfer and the other windsurfer not sailing and a life guard to clear a path to return to the beach. With wall-to-wall people, or should I say rock-to-rock beach goers, I am not planning on sailing Natural Bridges the next two days. Makes it tough as that is the one place that has some wind when no where else does.
Millions upon zillions of orangeish-brown jellyfish out about a half mile and beyond. I thought it was kelp beads at first and was surprised to see them in such deep water. Looking closer I saw they were jellies. Some places so thick that the color of the water was streaked orangeish-brown.
Where are the sea turtles when you need them....

2 hr foil session at the Stick from 1 to 3. Warm weather with the wind at 12-15 for most of the day..ideal for foiling. I used a 5.9 Volt on my 135L JP foilboard. You just need a gust of wind, some pumping and apply a bit of giddyup to the rear of the board to get the foil up. Afterwards, all you need is about 10 mph of apparent wind to sustain the flight.
Worked on my turns a lot today. For now, I may just bring the board down as I flip the sail to complete the turn.

Finally cooling off, MarinaBay at 4:30, just planing on a 6 and Shark150, to very powered at 5:30. That 23 lbs board jibes nicely in the confused chop at the entrance to Marina Bay, so weight is not always a bad thing. Trims kinda OK too, so it's not really that bad a board.

Another 2 hr foil session at the Stick from 1 to 3 pm. Wind average was 15 and the 5.0 Volt was enough to keep me up 90% of the time. Did my triangle runs from the Stick to Hunter's Pt to Oyster Pt. then back to the Stick. I'm sailing further downwind between Hunter's Pt. an Sierra Pt. where few windsurfers go as they might not make it back home in the offshore winds. With the foil you can just about go anywhere.

Tuesday Berkeley was very nice wind and high tide W wind choppy waters early, going to smoother water later in the PM until it died at 6.
Started with 84 liter slalom, then switched to 92 liter FreeWave, powered on 6 meters.
Some sailors from Pt Isabelle showed up, launching at Lordships.
I third docked it, as always, fun balancing act on the inside.

Today I was able to foil on a 5.0 sail in 11-12 mph average winds at Palo Alto. I did 3 round trips to the Newark side of the Bay (3.5 miles) from the dock at Palo Alto. It took some energetic pumping and kicking the tail of the board to get the foil up, but once I was up all was good. The wind died to 10 on my last run and I was unable to get the board up so I quit before 3.

Three 3.5 mile rounds trips. No Viagra. Bert, you are truly an inspiration...

My season does not end in October as I have the gear for those really light days. All 3 boards will plane in 10 with the proper sail size ( my biggest is 9.5) and each has a different feel on the water, which I like. The foil gets going with a much smaller sail. I'm on track for 200 sessions overall, with a hundred on the foil before year's end, as long as the body holds up.
