Superb day at His Lords - precisely as predicted by iWind this AM - for once. Way powered on 5.5, could easily have enjoyed a 5.0. Large sailboats out there, but they were basically standing still.....
Need to rethink "end of season" gear stowing!
Cheers, David |

For bailing me out at Coyote when the wind died on me. May good karma follow you around.

Excellent at A.L. today with shoulder to head high sets with more north in it this time, for some good down the line rights, 4.7's mostly.
Also very nice to have National Geographic NOT show up this time with all their animals, no 1000's of shearwaters, several humpbacks, seals, and bait balls to create full on feeding chains.
That was getting old. |

4.7 heaven today with less bumpy gusty conditions compared to yesterday. Smooth peeling big faces with lots of bottom and top turn opportunities. Its the season the just keeps giving! |

Mild day at Stick, out with my nicely home repaired Isonic 111 and 6.6 (hei! it did not sink!). Powered up for a while and then getting weaker around 5 pm. Last days of the season unwind nicely with sun and warm weather.
Many people out (Kevin, Don, Robert, Jason. Bob, David, ... ) with anything from 85L and 4.7, to 6.6-6.8 slalom sails, to Exocet Windsup and 5.0. All having fun. |

Another great fall day: powered up 5.5 and Carbon Art 52. It could have been a bit stronger to really take the combo in its sixth gear but ... not going to complain: it is the end of October!!!!
Regular October group out: Kevin, Robert, Vasco, Nino, David, et al.
Beautiful light, with the sun low over the hills making the water bright golden. |

Seems stick and Berkeley are still trying to hang in there.
Last two days at Berkeley, some gusts up to 27 or so around 4, but for a short time only, and it's get in while you can after 5.
Tuesday came back, but Wed today totally shifted to E winds of 3 mph. |

No so great day at Stick ... I arrive at around 3, some breeze and tiny white caps, rig the 8.0 and ... the wind drops even further ... and further ... and comes back a bit (5 knots?) ... and drops ... and I go home. Vasco slogging around with a Techno and 5.7 and Bob with the Exocet Windsup and 5.0 (time to get bigger sails guys!!!!!).
This might be it ... maybe a couple more days next Sun and after the forecast rain but otherwise it might be time to grab my Mojo HD3 and hit the trails |

D,
uhh, you forgot the King of the Bay, TI/Blunt. It has the most stable wind and great organized water surface around certain areas during flood or ebb. It's underutilized! Other than the reason of the uninviting 13th street launch, most people don't know how to use the site. Upper Berkeley Sunday was great! |

Sunday was good at Berkeley from the freeway up past R-2.
I was sailing mostly with guys on 4.2's and 4.7's, and mostly -85 liter boards down low at the 3rd dock down to just above kite beach. No need for TI launch that day, or Friday. |
