Well, if anyone's interested in seeing pictures of what was happening down there, along with who was riding and who wasn't, there's an article on this rather obscure blog. Verbose write-up, but you can go straight to the pictures if bored. I'll put one up as a teaser. It's Kevin Pritchard with Brian Caserio filming from below. Some macker, eh?

Proof that some days PSC is definitely not a "beginners" wave sailing location... double-over head++ and 4.0 ...

Thanks, Steve. I've got more, but I'd say that those are the best of them. On his Facebook page, KP posted that the conditions down there were the type that he'd dreamed about since he was 10 years old. I don't think that it was hyperbole.

Yup. It truly was that large, and ridiculously consistent. That was the biggest problem for a terminal intermediate like myself. Plus, on Thursday, the day we arrived, the wind was gusting to around 45 mph. Friday, perhaps 40 mph.
The day I took those Chili Bowl pictures, Friday afternoon, June 7, KP, KMac, and a few kiters, were getting one wave after another out there. I swear, they didn't have to wait 2 minutes for the next wave after making it to the outside. It was nuts.

Great shot by both of those gents. Joey from Solopsports took a picture that was only split seconds from when I snapped the one in this post. It was up on the Solosports Facebook page. Lots of shutters being released those couple of days.
