I should have put that I guess haha. I'm 32, a dude, and sailing Lake Champlain, the Vermont side. The board is a Kona Surf, sail is a Aerotech windSUP 4.8.

Off to a good start.
Careful it could change your life and you might find yourself moving from VT to Cape Cod as I did from NH to Cape Cod or to Cape Hatteras like Andy of Wind-NC
No regrets windsurfing changed my life for the better hope it does for you as well.
It's not just a sport. It's a lifestyle.

davey2 - I've heard of whites, but never been there. Definitely will check it out when I can ride comfortably. Video was awesome! Have you ever sailed Willoughby?
evans - Have already thought about moving few more years of snowboarding, then heading to warmer climates sounds pretty nice.
1st day went as I thought, lots of falls. Did manage to get one good long ride somehow, and now counting the days down till I can get back out.

I have not sailed Willoughby, heard it is very "Gorge like" in a strong SE wind. It takes me the same amount of time to drive as driving to Lake Champlain.
Not everyone has moved to the Cape to sail.

Awesome photo, Plattsburgh bay right? Looking forward to being able to ride and have fun like that and the video one day. Then I'll see ya out there haha.
Willoughby always seems to have really strong wind. Every time I've been out there in a sunfish its been a knock down situation. Which was one of the reasons to go ahead and take the plunge with the windsurfer. No regrets

He had to migrate because they got smart and banned kites up there.
I can remember back in the day the Lago de Q had crowds like that all spring.
