Awesome!!!...but the slog to the windline (from the West Coast) looks a little intense. Could it pump us some good surf though?

For comparison... "Superstorm Sandy" was a 940 low... Should be a big wave maker. Hope those dudes fishing in the GOA get the hell out of the way of this one!

Well I hope that that thing makes it over to the Weat Coast. So far this January has yielded a bout 9 inches of snow in North lake Tahoe and there is nothing in the forecast fr the next 10 days. So its butt cold and bone dry here. Surprised

West swell, Mavericks contest is on....but..
West swell is dangerous for contestants, as the shoulder tends to get big and fold inside on itself, catching surfer's inside the whitewater and pumelling them. West swells are the shiftiest and hardest to line up, while possibly providing the longest rides for a big wave spot anywhere in the world.
