Only when combining the two. Limiting pistol magazine capacity to anything less than maybe 20 is suicidal, even for cops.

It's already been done in California sadly. Ten rounds is not enough to take down a couple of dudes beating your wife at 50 yards.

I had to check it out.

Quote:
With limited exceptions, California law prohibits any person from manufacturing, importing into the state, keeping for sale, offering or exposing for sale, giving, or lending any large capacity magazine. Cal. Penal Code § 12020(a)(2), (b). A "large capacity magazine" is defined as any ammunition feeding device with the capacity to accept more than ten rounds, but does not include any .22 caliber tube ammunition feeding device, any feeding device that has been permanently altered so that it cannot accommodate more than ten rounds, or any tubular magazine that is contained in a lever-action firearm. Section 12020(c)(25). California does not ban the possession of large capacity magazines.

All those existing guns with large capacity magazines are still legal.

After January 1, anyone who owns a large capacity magazine in California will have to just throw them away. Seems like an illegal taking of property which at one time was protected by the constitution..... The guns will be legal, the magazines won't

I don't have a solution Techno, I'm just pointing out statistical facts. 2,600 shot in a few months vs. zero shot or killed in the city's history by isis.

Which is a greater threat? Also, wouldn't dying by isis be a "social problem" as well under your description?

Just out of curiosity bluefish, what kind of people are these? Are there drugs involved?
