I do not believe that KC. You could quadruple the number of guns here and the murder rate would drop.

So, by logical extrapolation, you could reduce the number of guns to zero and the murder rate would go through the roof.

Right?

Yes! You got it right for once! Gas bombs, knives, cars, trucks, baseball bats, swords, karate, broken coke bottles, poison, and other cool things would get the job done. Laughing

This is a morality issue, not a gun issue.

It is easy for psychos and criminals to stroll into a gun show and stock up on murder weapons with the tacit support of the NRA. They make money from murder.

Yes, I have a question. Can you produce one single quote where Obama said you should not be able to own any type of gun at all?

He's to savvy for that, he lets the bomb chuckers say that stuff for him.

OK, so quote some "bomb chuckers" that Obama has authorized to say no guns at all. You are digging a deeper hole my friend. Perhaps you should just stop.

So far the weapons I've personally witnessed being used to deliberately and criminally assault and/or batter someone include guns, automobiles, 18-wheelers, bottles, martial arts, one's own body (on skis and kites), kiteboards, and I'm sure more if I thought about it longer. Most of the victims escaped those particular encounters unscathed, but a) not all the perps did and b) how many of those perps injured or killed their next targets because they were not deeply discouraged or taken out of circulation the times I witnessed?

Google "I don't believe people should be able to own guns".
Then Google its author's voting record on gun laws.

Bard,
In Belize that theory has not proven true. In countries with few guns you have lower murder rates, like Japan.
Easy to kill on a moments notice.
Not many teen ghetto boys go out with a bottle of poison in case they need to kill someone.
Guns, though , hey guns are cool. You can kill six guys from another gang in seconds without a thought or a plan.
How Koolaid is that.?
A guy can gun up in minutes at the gun show even if they are wanted for multiple murders.just kill someone to recover the funds outside the show.
Why do they even buy guns if they can just use a bottle?

Well, OK, then let's take the next logical step.

Since everybody having AK-47s will reduce the murder rate, everybody can have hand grenades, RPGs, flame throwers, mortars, missiles, and nuclear bombs.

That should REALLY drive the death rate down. Wouldn't you agree?

Mr Polite Fick with an unimpeachable source:

Quote:
Gun researcher John Lott has made numerous media appearances in the wake of the mass shooting in Newtown, Conn. to argue against the enactment of gun violence prevention measures. While Lott uses his media platform to push a multitude of statistics -- often from his own research -- he has been thoroughly discredited as a serious academic researcher.

Paranoia doesn't require making up facts, but belonging to the right wing seems to. More horseshit from the Fickster.

It was 3.7 today at Kanaha for me. A euro sailor who has the same gun as I discussed this topic.
The linked article was written by sporks
He mentioned that a spork was slang for a fool or easily fooled person!
I went back and read BB link again. It contains everything the NRA wants to avoid without exception. It mentions that these measures would reduce folks interest in buying the products that the NRAs sponsors sell.
It appears that BB has been sporked.
Kos appears to be a very liberal site and has a survey on the bottom about banning guns.
2% of the liberals who responded to the poll supported a gun ban in the US.
This matches my own experience and confirms the truth educated folks here are trying to tell the Talk Radio Conservatives.
Thanks BB. You could not have proven our point any better.
Sorry you got sporked.
