Australia's population is about the same as NY State. Much less of a challenge than we would have in the US. Also, Australia's constitution likely doesn't guarantee the right to bear arms. Just a guess. |
Another huge problem is our porous border. There is a war going on in Mexico. The bad guys have weapons. Those weapons would find their way to the US if we banned ours. Heavy fire power, no registration, and weapons that would go right to the criminals hands. Can you imagine what kind of bloodshed would ensue? |
I think there is a point here you made, in Mexico where basically only the bad guys have guns, well the average killing is not the good people....
I would bet if you backed out the right wing drug terrorist killings their murder rate would be very low.
again with the right wing mantra that only the bad people would have guns would not a disater as their mantra claims.
The US economy is not run on drugs like Mexicos is. what top 3 or 4 for making money in Mexico is drugs. In the US this would be about number ???? 3000. _________________ when good people stay silent the right wing are the only ones heard. |

Yes, sadly under Democratic rule for generations, Chicago has more deaths than the Ukraine and Crimea, where there are a lot of weapons too. |

With some of the strictest gun laws in the country.
A lot of good that does.
So it sure ain't for the lack of gun laws, gotta be something else.
But what could it be? I say the lack of father figures. |

Probably because not everybody has guns.
According to our hero Wayne LaPierre, that beacon of logic and reasoned rationale, if they all had guns, then nobody would be shot.
And in stark contrast . . . . . . if nobody had guns, then they'd all be shot.
Or -- maybe because the few "father figures" the kids have, Mikey's gang banger role models, ALL pack and use their guns.
And the beat goes on, bang, bang........

I lived most of my life in a country with almost no guns because of restrictive gun laws.
No one got shot at all.now we have guns and our murder rate is much higher than Chicago. |
