From the OP back in 2012, the last few posts have gone way off track.
I don't see at all that women have any seperate lack of technical skills to do the day to day things necessary to maintain our gear. My wife can knit 2 socks at once, watch tv, text, and still know more about the mystery on tv than me.
If I had have someone to repair my boards I would take advantage of that , or someone to install my footstraps or carry my gear.
They are windsurfers , just happen to have different plumbing that some
