Put a mast track and front strap inserts into your SUP.
That is the best small wave, light wind board, and you already have it.
Use epoxy resin, be sure to fill inserts holes with epoxy, and flip the board upside down after you're sure you have filled the cavity.

Why not try a large Free Style Wave board? At your weight, a 116ltr FSW could be enough to get you moving and catching waves. You won't be ripping it up in that wind range, but will have enough to catch and ride some decent waves. I'm liking my tabou 3S 116ltr. I've also heard good things about RRD's line as well.

My impression, not really based on experience: For early lightwind planing Sealion might be the way to go. I do not think the kona/exocet windsup will plane as early as the Sealion but has a much larger range than the sealion.

I sail and sell Sealions, the only board light fast short able to plan in little wind goes over 27 miles fast on flat water and surfs the waves in light or medium wind from 2 to 9 foot with out compromise. Tell me what your conditions are and I can send you a video link that pretty much will show how it would sail in your place.
It paddles too and work great as short SUP.
It will not break as ch....e made wanne be SUP/Windsurboards do because its made like a real windsurf board full Epoxy PVC sandwich structure including rails. Dont compromise go sealion...s

i and lots of others have been having thousands of rides on our long boards. i have never heard of folks, close at hand, getting their long boards broken in the beach breaks in florida. i've logged 5 years of aggressive wave riding on lots of different models. been washed lots of times.

jumping? sure, but not many. shipping? you bet, think of that infamous baggage ape commercial.

shoot, it would be a hoot to see how well an inflatable windSUP would do in the surf. i'm looking forward to trying it. might be crap or fun. dunno until i try. WTF = Where's The Fun, right?
