Hi!
Once again i turn to you guys for some good advice
I cracked the nose open on my freestyle board about a week a go. Nothing serious, just a crack about one cm and a soft dent around that area. But I didnŽt notice the crack until I had finished my session but iŽm guessing it happened on one of my wipeouts just before coming to shore. There was some water in the board when i finished and I could see it when pressing the soft, dented spot around the crack.
Anyway, I removed loose parts and sanded it down and It has now been stored in a warm room for a week. Now forecast is looking good for some freestyle and really want my board back into action. I taped a plastic bag around the crack and stored over night and it didnŽt show any sign of humidity. So what do you guys think, is it safe to repair the board by now or should i leave it for longer to dry? |

go for it!
next time stick a wick in it....a little paper or cloth will pull the water out of the foam quicker.
Throwing a little 4 oz cloth over the top will hold it together, but if it's really 1 cm, not necc _________________ https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=zw0MgkO7VXw |

Thanks for your input guys!
IŽll repair it tonight, iŽll put a little cloth over it to strengthen since there are some soft spots around the crack. |

to test for water inside, cover the area with plastic, like a snadwich baggie, tape the edges and let it sit in the sun.
If condensation forms inside the plastic, there is moisture yet _________________ K4 fins

Before you repair it, set it out in the hot sun with the damaged area sitting at the very lowest part of the board. Let it bake for a couple of days and then do the test U2U2U2 recommends. If there are no signs of moisture, then do the repair. |

Use "Marine-Tex" epoxy, very slow drying but an excellent material. Get it at local marine supply house, or www.Murrays.com _________________ Spennie the Wind Junkie
