Why Romney misjudged what was going to happen so badly:

Gloating ... over 59 voting districts in Philadelphia in which 19,605 votes were cast for Obama vs ... none ... not one ... for Romney? Think there's any fraud there?

Counties in Ohio, I think it was, where voter turnout was 109% ... i.e., 9% more people voted than were eligible to vote, when 50% is a good turnout? Fraud?

Oh man! Maybe President Obama didn't really win. You know, certain questionable folks tweaked the results and cheated us. Romney and Ryan should have won. I mean, that's what Fox News and right wing talk radio told us. We're being screwed by the "give me" culture. Somehow the Socialists are overtaking our nation. It's the fricking idiots that voted for President Obama. Oh my God, we're doomed!

And our character from the Great Northwest doesn't even drink alcohol or smoke pot.

Chandler, you are not the least bit suspicious that in 59 Philadelphia precints, there was not 1 vote for Romney? Not even a mistaken vote for Romney?

Welcome to one party rule, and eventual dictatorship.

In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the
University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the
Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: "A democracy is always
temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent
form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until
the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous
gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority
always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from
the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally
collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a
dictatorship."

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the
beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200
years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage."

Some of you guys are really funny. Whack-a-doodle funny. You're right up there with Palin, Bachman, Cain, Trump, Santorum, Perry, Aikn, O'Donnell, Angle... and a few of them are national embarrassments.

It would be easy to grab one of my statistics textbooks to refresh my memory and calculate the likelihood that outcome was fraudulent, but there's no need; I have done such calculations before and the result would be 0.9 followed by a string of 9's right off the page. i..e, virtually 1.0, a certainty. IOW, The likelihood of fraud would be even higher than the likelihood a genetics lab would assign to a match between my own DNA and my own DNA ... seriously.

in 2008 there were 57 precincts that had no republican votes either, so staying much the same. not that surprising really looking at demographics.
and, im sure there were precincts in redneckville that had zero, or next to zero democrat votes too.

Stevenbard...It took less than a minute for me to get to the official election results for Philadelphia. Seems they vote by ward...and then by division. There are nearly 66 wards and up to nearly 40 divisions per ward. Somewhere between 2000 and 2500 divisions. The divisions I spot checked consisted of about 400 voters. So, it could easily happen that Romney could have received zero votes in a number of these divisions. Every division I checked had Romney votes. Obviously, I did not review them all. It does seem unlikely that even this small of a percentage of the total divisions could have been zero votes for Romney, but not improbable.

Isobars and Steven Bard must be right. Romney was coming on strong in African-American neighborhoods. They particularly liked his 2012 euphemism that the poor--disproportionately black--are "dependent on government" rather than shiftless. His updating the terms of Jim Crow and promising to privatize their public schools was sure to win heavy support in their neighborhoods.

As I pointed out before your math logic reasoning skills are have issues as I pointed out in my previous post. IE in this thread when you told us how you are the top in awards for writing skills. I noted I am tops for math logic...

here lets try a little test for ya. I bet in this type of reading I can also kick your ash. the question is can you even read this, it notes only 55% of people can.

Good example of a Brain Study: If you can read this OUT LOUD you have a strong mind.
And better than that: Alzheimer’s is a long, long, ways down the road before it ever gets anywhere near you.
