Talk about a blast from the past...! Does anyone remember these things, or even see them out on the water?

For one thing, they maybe should have learned the rules of windsurfing.
Like, look back before you drift downwind into someone.
The were always a sligthly askewed sailing bunch, just not a fit at all.
At the trade shows, they stayed to themselves, never mixing, it seemed, to the windsurfers that the shows catered to.
Slow and in the way, almost like another sport.....which is actually intergrating nicely lately.

I remember Mcgruder. My recollection was that those wind weapons
didn't really have any advantage (jump wise) over a standard rig.
I.e. you could jump just as high with a regular rig (though maybe
not stay in the air as long). They did have the advantage of not needing
to be jibed though as I recall.

Still an interesting idea.
