Hey this question is for anyone who has owned a JP 165ltr X-Cite Ride. I'm trying for find out the largest rig you been able to fly on it. The JP Archive section is no help. It says >7.5 as the recommended range.
Thanks |

12, if you're big and strong.
10.5, if you're normal sized can can pump well. |

I have used a 9.5 on the X-cite ride 120L with a racing fin and the straps outboard of course. For my size 145Lbs 5'8" it wasn't the most relaxing ride but worked fine especially in flat water. I am sure the 165L is a little wider in the tail and well suited for 9.5-10 range. A really good fin can make a huge difference FYI. _________________ _____/)_____

Your last post doesn't say a whole lot.
I have a 9'4" x 72 cm Mike'sLab, and the previous owner used 11 meter sails on it. He was 180lbs. Board is maybe 145 liters. Fin size was a 60.
Of course you can use a 9.5 on your board. It's waaay bigger than the 120 as posted earlier, and that board should hold a 9 meter pretty comfortably.
And your board is probably 20 liters more floaty than mine. |

I weigh 235# and have used a 9.5 on my Excite 165l many times. It sails well, and I usually water start it unless the wind is too low. It will also take a 10.4. |
