Iso - I am confused. You say the guy was muzzled, yet he went on TV and published a book? How does that square?

Also of note, CBS who aired the lies owns the publishing company which stood to profit from the lies. The guy was on a book tour when he appeared on CBS. Conflict of journalistic interest?

Fox News had 11 different segments based on the "facts" in this book.
Now that it is clearly a fabrication they are the only news outfit silent on the revelation of fakery.
There is no money in telling truths that do not piss off angry old white people.
They are moving on to other faked up info for their talking heads.

Look at the date of my post. I had never heard of Davies then. Then actually read my post, which refers to the fact that U.S. federal employees, including the military, are prohibited from public comment on government matters unless they are Public Affairs officers ... positions held by only one or two people in organizations of hundreds to thousands. I don't know at what level that muzzle is lifted, but it is in Washington, D.C., not Podunk, Kansas. Whether Brit contractor Davies signed a comparable ban, I have no idea.

A bit testy this morning?

What does the date of your post have to do with the price of tea in China?
Does not your declarative statement apply no matter what the date?

You appear to be an expert in what government employees can and cannot say. I was merely asking for your expert opinion.

After skimming this:http://www.judicialwatch.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/1932-10292013.pdf?V=1

I would say the Davies was contractually bound to keep his mouth shut. I guess the prospect of fanning the Republican flames of outage and the prospect of a big payday resulted in a case of contractual amnesia.

Wasn't Edward Snowden wearing a muzzle too? At least he did not lie for profit.

You have to laugh. Isobars is quick to argue that he didn't know that his source was a liar when he made his post. He ignores entirely the larger question that it appears that the campaign to damage Obama on Benghazi rests on a tissue of lies, as do so many of the other efforts. I say appears, because much of the system of right wing screeds is done by innuendo and anonymous source. it is propagated by Fox news operating as an appendage to the Republican Party, and a series of "think tanks" who keep their donors secret and don't submit anything to peer review. We don't know if it was Davies that was the originally source of the attacks on Obama because nobody in this system subscribes to ethical behavior.

Isobars culpability, as with many of his fellow travelers on this site, lies in his willingness to believe the worst of Obama--or indeed anyone to the left of Daryl Issa--without consideration of the credibility of their source. To think that Fox news is engaged in journalism--much less fair and balanced--is to have drunk deeply of the kool-aid. Or perhaps to have overdosed on tequila.

To make matters worse, Lindsey Graham has decided to put all Obama appointees on hold until he gets satisfactory answers on Benghazi. When did Graham make this statement? the day after Davies appeared on 60 minutes. In a weak weak effort, the half-journalist, Lara Logan issued a 90 second apology last night. I 'll hold my breath as Lindsey Graham redacts his ridiculous demands......NOT.

Here's a quiz for extra credit? Who, after Mike Fick, has most used the lies of this guy to beat up Obama? Number 2 is NW30, number 3 is Mat-ty, although mrgybe gets honorable mention for offensive language and arrogance. Perhaps for fun we can post the most astonishing comment by one of the three? Following by a little clip of Rosanna Danna saying never mind?

Let's start with NW30 from page 1: "Listen to what Lara Logan has to say about all of this" wasn't it Lara Logan that apologized yesterday? Hmmm.

Or mikey:
Quote:

This coverup is well on its way to becoming the biggest and deadliest deliberate coverup in the history of the presidency.

Hmmm.

And then there is this from Bard:

Quote:
He is a mealy mouthed community organizer who is incapable of making a decision that is not politically based

Perhaps now RR will some clue about the use of "other" in propaganda.

Now all together haters: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3FnpaWQJO0

Good to see that Mr. Turdy can laugh at himself. And he clearly has a lot to laugh at.

Obviously NW feels no irritation at being taken in by lies. After all, the lies attacked Obama--and he's ok with that, true or not. Better yet, he thinks it is funny. I can hear your wife laughing.... Laughing
