Approximately 50% of the dems out there are actually willing to consider voting for an old self-proclaimed socialist over Hillary Clinton.

NW , are you saying 50% of Democratic voters will pull lever for Bernie this Spring?
I will say that it is refreshing to see Christie, and Kasich having a little run.

That's a national poll, not a Cali. poll. She may not even be in the running anymore by the time we get to vote.
I've always hated Cali. being almost irrelevant for the primaries, by the time we get to vote. For us it might be between Joe and Bernie.

I'll ask the question again, and I'll add another question. Are you saying that 50% of Democratic primary voters, nationwide will vote for Bernie? And my second question is , do you think Hillary won't be in the primary? which is what you seem to be asserting.

I think Bernie will win the nomination.

Nw, one thing Arnold gave us is the right to cross party lines. If the R side has been decided but the D side is up in the air, I will vote for Hillary in order to avoid the possibility of Bernie. FWIW

Several very seasoned, lifelong, professional political analysts have stated flatly that the DNC will not allow Sanders to be their nominee. The party knows he is unelectable*, which is why they're in Biden's face as their savior. After all, parties can write their own nomination rules; they could appoint PeeWee Herman if they so choose and change their rules to allow it.

* But is he? If the DNC can drive enough politically naive numbskulls to the polls who actually think socialism works, they just might get him elected. I was amazed how many middle aged and senior Iowans were for socialism; most people who live that long have an IQ and have read at least one page of history.

Boggsy, Even you can't be that naive. If you are going to turn a blind eye to every blatant conflict of interest, unethical action, or deceptive practice of your chosen candidate, then you need to examine your own ethics.

I just examined my ethics-I'm ok with the results.
Choices-
Bernie, Dems past w liberal candidates(McGovern Duke, Mondale) um no thanks
Trump-billionaire TV real estate mogul-
Ted-Lying Psycho "carnival barker" but very well qualified
Empty Suit
2 Establishment dudes-not likely
Hillary- good resume, great #1 advisor.

The only left wingers I remember seeing displaying ethics here or in the political arena in a LONG time have been guys like Sanders, Kucinich, sometimes Feinstein, often Poinster, a few Democratic analysts willing to rip their guy or their party when deserved ... hmmmm ... I'm running out of names. Help me out.

I doubt ANYONE has EVER accused Hillary Clinton of having ANY ethics; the proof to the contrary runs into hundreds of pages covering decades.

Ethics on the Right are not the topic of conversation, but I could name more there than on the left. After all, morality is not a trait not even generally associated with the "If it feels good, do it" Left.

Boggsy, Sadly you, and many others will still root for Hillary even if she is indicted. Somehow you will all rationalize that it was an unfortunate series of innocent mistakes........just like mortgage bundling.

Hillary is a vile, pandering thief.... But, she might be better than the socialist.
