Natebates-
Are kiters to be in seperate heats? Might not be a good scene to mix them together... not a kiter hater at all (some of my best friends are string lovers...) but they're very different in the waves and jumping don't you think?
And if Mr Angulo is coming down and competing, we may as well give him the trophy while he's rigging!
No parking fees outcast... cavity searches are optional- where did I leave my keys???

Come on Outcast don't be and Outstoke!
I don't care if it is side-on. Hell that is what all the PWA wave events are these days.
I am in. I also have a job to do down in Green Hill so that works for me. Very Happy
Thanks for stepping up to the plate and making this happen.
Didn't Outcast ask if you guys were going to do this again?
I will donate a Windsurfing clock to give away.

might be interesting to pit some windsurfers vs kiters in wave riding.
No idea how the judging would work. riding might not be too bad.
Jumping would be hard to compare.

do you guys ride at the point on the east end or in the middle?
East end point has always looked like it would work nicely in SW.

Never been any real system for judging or heats or anything. Last time we just sailed and had an informal peer judging thing. Its not a serious situation. Best move, most radical, best crash, the winner. ect. The guy who brought a keg won last time I think. Maybe we can we can do some sort of finals if numbers and conditions allow. Open for suggestions, but its been more like an open session where there happens to be some prizes at the end. As for kiters, dont know how its going to work. I suppose there can only be one winner though....

pete,
Tend to sail in front of the parking lot to the east, and yes it does make the wave a bit more side-shore, but its not exactly looking like groundswell for sun, so depends on the tide. Could sail all up and down that stretch.
