Used your site since the beginning of the year. Definitely has helped me keep notes on tuning, gear, etc. And it doesn't get wet and soggy like a notebook. |

Impressive, I think many will take advantage of your detailed work. It's pretty interesting to see what you used and how often plus all the other stats.
For the last 7 years I have carried a GPS on every outing. I created a spread sheet with:
Top Speed
Average Speed
Time on the water
Distance on the water
Wind speeds
Location
Board used
Sail used
After each outing, I pencil in the information for that day. At the end of the year, I input all the data into the Excel Spread Sheet to get yearly averages and totals. Below is last year's (2011) summary: I should add that I am 67 and only spend on average a little over an hour on the water for each outing. It's almost all lake sailing.
Sail sizes and number of times used (there were a number of occasions where I used more than one sail during a day, but I just recorded the most used):
11.0 = 5
9.2 = 10
8.4 = 6
7.6 = 19
6.6 = 13
6.3 = 1 (1985 Superlight regatta sail)
6.0 = 16
5.2 = 1
5.0 = 10 (replaced by a new 5.2 in Oct)
4.5 = 6
4.0 = 1
Boards and number of times used (there were a number of occasions where I used more than one board during a day, but I just recorded the most used):
Starboard Formula 160 - 18
Starboard iSonic 111 - 35
Hi Fly Move 105 - 31
Tiga 263 - 3
Mistral Superlight –1
Tiga beginner board – 1 - Sandals resort
Totals for the year:
Sailing days - 89
Days sailed in Jan. Feb. Mar. - 19
Days sailed in Apr. May June - 33
Days sailed in July Aug. Sept. - 17
Days sailed in Oct. Nov. Dec. - 20
Top speed achieved - 35.7 mph (31.02 knots) – Hi Fly Move 105; Neil Pryde 5.0 in November
Mileage - 1198 miles (1927 km)
Number of days with winds gusting over 23 mph (20 knots) - 46
Time on the water – 101.5 hours
Highest wind speed sailed - 40 mph (34.7 knots), Lake Ray Hubbard on 11/26
Greatest distance sailed in one day - 24 miles (38.6 km) |

Isn't .fr a French URL? Whatever, I have been mulling over a philosophical question lately about accumulating windsurfing data. Why should I learn a lot of stuff about shape of boards, sail tuning, fin choice, etc. when I will eventually forget it? Where should I keep this info? In my head so that I can talk about it? What if I run into windsurfers at the beach, and they don't accept my information? Maybe your website might be the best place to enter one's data. |

...I added new types of navigation, especially for kitesurfing and the Paddle.
It provides a more detailed analysis of the sessions.

It is now possible to change the speed and distance units. In the profile settings you can now select miles for distances values and mph for speed values.
