I always enjoy windsurfing in a new location, especially after a summer with too many southerlies, which tend to keep you pinned to the beach at most of the Cape's southside launches. When the call came on Sat. am, I jumped at the chance to try a new sailing spot with different conditions.
Team Abide went on safari on Saturday in search of wind and waves. With PK's truck loaded to the gills, we rode across the sand to a small inlet, where the incoming tide carried a groundswell that crested on a bar in the middle. This feature, combined with a side-off breeze, provided some unusual conditions.
The wave, mostly waist-high, had groundswell power and speed, but was even faster due to the approx. 4 knot incoming current. The rides were fast and smooth, and the launching pad was spring-loaded!!!
Great to ride again with Evans, Amphibious Rodent, Sea Squirt and PK!!!
The teeth have gone for the season, so the ocean-side amusement park is finally open again.
Thanx, PK, for finding room for us and all our gear in your truck, and getting us to the venue.
Still sorting thru all the pic's, so there will be more later - check back!

It was a truck-loadin' frenzy, OC !! Not very efficient on space, but there was still room for you & your gear.
Sorry you missed it, I heard how you seek out photo op's
A few more....

Great day on the outer! Thanks PK for the ride, we stuffed that thing like a thanksgiving turkey. Always nice to sail somewhere different, that wave is weird. Awsome job taking a little time off the water to man the lens Wave Dawg. Till next time! How about that Friday forecast, just saying.

Side off waves are really fun, 28 mph wave slashing and off the lips, aerial off the lips, and general PuntaSanCarlos like wave riding.
Our spot is TubaMancha, up at LimantourBeach, PtReyesNat.Seashore. Sometimes, a crowd of 5 might go up there.
