.... well not my own of course since I started in the late 90's.

I thought some of you might enjoy taking a trip down memory lane.
Only board in there I recognize (by sight) are the 95-96 F2 boards.

Apologies if this is a duplicate (from over a year ago), but I couldn't find it on the forum already.

Fun trip back in time! I sure recognized a lot of those. And also noticed a lot that were missing. That was indeed a golden era, and those old ads brought back some great memories.

Yeah, that was fun. I certainly remember some of those Bic and HiFly ads ... dreaming about things I could not yet afford. For some reason, though, I keep coming back to the Marlin ad.

I bought a f2 sunset race for a lightwind board in 1990 after returning to Connecticut from an 8 month stay in Maui. Fast board that did a decent turn, had alot of fun with it, and still have it but don't use it, as I now have an '07 Starboard kombat 107, which is more fun but not as fast.

Wow, what an impressive list. Having bought my first board in '84, I either owned, borrowed or went riding on many of those boards.

However, I had no idea that there were so many brands in production during those years. My exposure was only to those that retailers in my city were selling, plus a few that visitors had as they passed through the area.

Great job.

From the list, I'm still riding a modified RRD 76 as my big board in the
Gorge. It's great for 5.5 to 6.7.

Thanks Jay, An impressive list! I had a board made by Fleetwood that had 2 footstraps on the tail of the board like the F2's pictured. Fun to ride with your feet in both back straps and ride the fin!

Love the E.T. reference! And the hair, I had hair like that guy on the right. If your was cut around your ears it meant either you were in the military or worked a McDonald's.
