No. In no transcript, book, speech (including yours), interview, dry or wet dream, or left or right wing media blurb I've ever seen or heard does Carson ever say or imply that WEST POINT offered him a scholarship or that he applied for WP or a scholarship thereto; those are false accusations from the left. What he DID say was that he met with Westmoreland and was offered a scholarship. Long before Politico or CNN twisted that statement to mean he had applied for or had received any formal of informal offer from WEST POINT ITSELF, the implication Carson ACTUALLY made was that in an event with Westmoreland and many other high-level officers, several of them discussed, maybe even presumptively tendered, such an offer. Who wouldn't believe such a promise when made multiple times at that level, and who would remember after 45 years exactly which officers made such an offer and how specifically?

Gimme a break, and raise equal hell about Obama's and Hillary's KNOWN sealed and/or tightly controlled records in IMPORTANT matters.

This whole brouhaha is provably and self-evidently pure Politico bullshit, parroted by many other media with no vetting or interest in the truth.

The nazi references are equally distorted, but I'm not going to type the facts out; I have a life and the sailing season is still in full swing. In one sentence, can ANYONE rationally argue that tens of millions of armed jews could not have thwarted the holocaust if they had tried? Read "Mila 18" and see how long a mere handful stymied the nazis.

The left wing, from Obama to Pelosi to mac, just can't STAND conservative, self-made, minority conservatives like Palin, Carson, Fiorina, etc.

You know you're in trouble when the biggest story line for the Republican primary is the media. At first it was Fox News in the first debate, then it was the depiction of Hillary after she mopped the floor with the tea baggers. Then it was the weak "liberals" on CNBC who botched the debate. Now it's poor old Ben Carson whining about media treatment.Well tonight you can pop some popcorn, put on your GOP pj's and cuddle up with Neil and Maria.
Even so , I'm sure the rethugs will blame the media for something tomorrow...

Regarding some of the past Republican debates, including tonight's one on the Fox Business channel, they aren't being covered on Cox Communications' basic cable offerings. Unless you spend more for extended or premium services, the Republican debates haven't always been available to the public at large. One wonders why readily accessible prime broadcasters like ABC, NBC, CBS or PBS haven't been in the picture. I guess the Republican debates just aren't important enough yet.

I have not. Please do tell.
While you're at it, feel free to make a convincing pitch for one of the gang of eight who will be spoon fed this evening with a nice personalized Fox News spoon.

Then you're getting screwed by Cox, Charter on the other hand, as well as many other cable co's., has Fox Business as part of their standard package.
Not like you were really interested in watching it in the first place, which I doubt.

Actually, I would watch it, if only to see how the candidates perform and measure up amongst their peers. Wouldn't you agree that it's important to know what the opposition is up to?

Some of the weaker candidates have to be getting real anxious and hungry for attention and recognition, because the stage is steadily shrinking. Also, the media sharks are circling looking for some red meat to thrash and rip up, and I think that biggest whiners will come up the likely losers in the event.

I will very disappointed and surprised in FBN if they sacrifice economic debate on the altar of the shallow controversy pursued by the last two farces. Ted Cruz summarized the CNBC moderators' asinine questions quite accurately IN that debate.

We're only half an hour into the junior varsity GOP debate, and Fox Business News has already raised the bar by at least 500%. Get this: Every question has been like this: "Exactly how will you solve the following existing economy/jobs/taxes problem?" GET it? Fox BUSINESS News. Why couldn't CNBC understand that concept? Three simple letters:
N.
B
C.

No...

Interesting. Not that this is important in itself, but I guess it may explain some of the disagreements between right wingers and others.

I hear in the posted video:

"I was offered a full scholarship to West Point."

Isobars hears:

"In no transcript, book, speech (including yours), interview, dry or wet dream, or left or right wing media blurb I've ever seen or heard does Carson ever say or imply that WEST POINT offered him a scholarship."

My last thing on Carson and why I think he is unqualified. He claims that pyramids were built to store large amounts of grain and that theories about the evolution of the universe have a problem because physicists don't properly take into account the second law of thermodynamics. Hubris is dangerous for a president.
