Treasure Island was packed today with a lot of old faces and some new. All of the parking in front of the abandoned units filled up by 3:30 and late arrivals were starting to park in front of occupied units. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS.
I had to ask numerous people to move and apologize profusely to one of the residents who were visibly pissed off that someone was in their parking space.
We do not have a RIGHT to park and sail there. We have been given the privilege to do this and it is important that we respect the folks who live there. Aside from not parking in their spaces, be friendly and be cool. Losing access out there would really suck. |

Agree wholeheartedly with you. Would never want to piss off the residents, but we are getting hard up for good sailing before the season ends. We all need to be aware and may need to squeeze in closer to allow for more parking on days like today. |

Agreed 100% rigatoni! Park only in front of the abandoned housing. If you are not sure, ask the other sailors. Be respectful to the residents' spaces, as well as keeping a low profile when imbibing on beverages and picking up your trash.
Also, it would help in this situation and more if more sailors rideshare. My friends and I do it quite often. |
