If you find your adopted country"s tourist literature laughable that is, of course, your choice. |

Mr Gybe sorry about the acrimony.
That is the funniest thing I have heard about my adopted home in years.
We do in fact consider the stuff those folks put out to be hilarious.
It resembles my high school student council. The Tourist Board media is a fancy name for an office smaller than yours but wearing flip flops.
They are doing their best in a 19th century country with few educated adults outside the education system. Their output can be very amusing if you have actually visited our many attractions. Not every writer at the Tourist Board has the time or money to do that. But they write anyway....
Many folks here in gov have the most basic of materials and budget to work with, often less than at our high school.
This is not Hawaii. just the same weather. When I came here there was no tourist brochures or Tourist Board at all.
Or tourists.
Speaking of Hawaii, I would like to take a moment to disrespect the tourist boards brochures there as well. They publish imaginary cultural history-inc. maps- like the "Seven Sacred Pools" with no shame. |

Unless it comes from the demented rabid righties. Then it's none of what you see and less than none of what you hear.
In fact, if it comes from the demented rabid righties, it's best to believe the OPPOSITE.

Thanks for the never-ending chuckles, Matty. |
