Even though our sails are 2011's...the vinyl window and the surrounding mylar are becoming increasingly scratched up and are creating glare as we are riding swell (typically in crowded quarters). Anyone have any tips on how to keep a sail's window "young" and transparent? UV protection helped...does Rain-x or any other product work? Suggestions?

As suggested in the other current thread on the same topic, automotive plastic polish can easily make badly worn PVC look new, but does virtually nothing for monofilm. Fortunately, windows can be replaced cheaply.
