http://thelastword.msnbc.com/_news/2012/08/01/13060806-rewriting-the-gops-idea-of-elitism?lite

the news media can't get the right picture up for windsurfing vs kiting. pathetic, right along with nearly every other ignorant land lubber i have to talk to on the beach. why is is so difficult for the lay person to differentiate the 2 separate sports? do we look that similar? i don't understand it.

the kite is nearly a hundred feet overhead, my sail is on the board! WTF?

Get a life. Wind surfing can be called board sailing. If you use a kite, you could be wind surfing, but you are definitely not board sailing. That's why I prefer board sailing. However, most people don't care about it at all. Parasailing often is kiting.

The Right press is putting some effort these days in proving that Kerry was an elitist because he windsurfs a little and Romney is not because of whatever sport he prefers.
We were all amazed to discover during tne second bush term that windsurfing is a elite leftist sport, esp. longtime members of the GOP like me who finally learned to jibe. I bet Kerry and Romney cant jibe.
Kerrys instructor said he sucked.

O'Donnell had great praise for Jim Drake, which is certainly warranted, but he was way off the mark for not praising Hoyle Schweitzer too for his significant role in growing the sport of windsurfing. Without a doubt, O'Donnell was weak on his research. But, I guess it needs to be remembered that the show was a hit piece on the Romney and the right.

Talking about utter pablum, no one needs to look any farther than Charles Krauthammer. There, O'Donnell was right on target.

Actually, at 62 I find my windsurfing the hardest work I do. Three days after my session with an 11 meter sail on Thursday, I'm still sore. That definitely hasn't happened to me while cooking, and I have worked restaurants. The French word or rather collection of words for this sport is Planche à voile or literally Board with sail.
