Well I'm pretty sure it wasn't to watch his wife's horse perform and see if he's going to get any more tax deductions from the carry-over. You see, he had 2 fund raisers, hosted by the bank folks involved in the Libor scandal--you know the one where they manipulated interest rates? Bob Diamond, the head of Barclay's was originally the co-chair of Romney's welcoming committee--but stepped down after he was forced to resign in the wake of the Libor scandal. Not to worry, heavy hitters from Barclays, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, Wells Fargo Securities, and a funny firm called Bain Capital Europe filled his coffers.

Now we know what "business friendly" means. It means appointees to the SEC, the courts, and the Attorney General's office that will not make financial crimes a priority. But wait a minute Batman, wasn't it financial crimes that put the economy in a ditch in 2007 and 2008? Didn't they falsify the information about the sub-prime loans? Didn't a handful of folks make a big killing betting against the US economy and those loans?

Shh. Voters, keep your eyes open and watch the money. Obama's re-regulation was weak, and the DOJ has done less than the state's to punish the crimes of the banks. But Romney will make sure that they aren't crimes.
