The counter stops when a poster stops posting. Did no one read Spennie's 10,000 post thread?

The connection between isobras and \OO/ should be pretty obvious.

Makes me think some people didn't even the get the m!m or oo!oo icons I've used when appropriate. Wink

I dunno Mike, the whole \OO/ thing, and that handle, seem more appropriate for a Michelle than for a Mike. You're not taking a step on the wild side on us are ya?

Some people prefer cute one-liners, while others prefer information. Few people can do both at once on any topic more than an inch deep without raising more questions than answers. IMO, westender is the best poster here at cramming insight into one line. Most others' attempts are just throwaway non sequiturs not worth the click.

Mike \OO/ (maybe if I type the icon more often, a light bulb will come on)

Well, I considered isobarz, but couldn't think of an appropriate icon for it.

I was at the Hatch that day. It was very disheartening. I watched people jibe around him, jibe right above him, sail above and below him, but no one even stopped to give him a rest or try to help him!!!??? The bottom line is - if someone is asking for help in ANY situation, for crying out loud, STOP AND AT LEAST TRY TO HELP THEM. DUH (he was not panicked either - just making his voice heard that he wanted help) How do you know he didn't have a broken leg or something???

I'm an excellent swimmer. I can swim a mile without tiring, and yet I almost drowned at Doug's when I became separated from my rig. I waved for help and just like the situation at the Hatch, a lot of people watched. One even dropped in above me and watched, but absolutely no one came to help. I was tired and the swell was big. I FINALLY caught up to my rig, but seriously, a couple more minutes and I would absolutely have drowned.

I don't get it - I just don't get it. How can so many people blow off someone asking for help?

Different name, same egotistical, narcissistic, delusional person. Any chance isobras is of limited physical stature? Acute Shortman Syndrome could explain a lot.

WTH did I do to you, David?

Do you always waltz, unknown, off the street to interrupt a group of old friends having a conversation and badmouth one of them based on some imagined slight? Do you think that endears you to any of them? Would you try it in a biker bar ... twice? You might want to explain your complaint better if you want to look less clueless.

If, OTOH, yer swagger is to impress the swchandlers and mulekicks and keycockers here ... DOOD, you surely set your sights low.

Your ego just amazes me. Maybe you don`t realize how ridiculous it comes across on the screen but it clouds any useful info you might have. Try writing a post without the word "I" in it.

If you weren't so new here, you'd have read many times why *I* do that.
One more freaking time: there are two ways to offer suggestions.

One, the egotistical, narrow-minded way, is to tell someone, "Do it this way", or "You must do this", or "This is the only way." Translation: "Only my way works, so it's my way or the highway".

The other method is to state "I do it this way". Translation: "This alternative works for me. What you do is your choice."

First way: Big, totalitarian government in yer face.
Second way: A proven suggestion presented to a free society.

*I* prefer the second method, while Jingerbritsen prefers the former. Take your pick and, please, leave me out of it.
And vote accordingly.
