Let's start with Trump and work down to Matty. Then we will reevaluate.

techno900, are you looking forward to tons of oil drilling platforms right off the coast of North Carolina? I'm thinking that you must be pining for the vast wasteland of oil drilling and refining in Texas.

How much do you like the tons of windmills everywhere you look throughout the Gorge? It sure looked a lot nicer before.

there are some that think homes destroy the landscape... that the land looked much better before homes were built in cities.

Homes create energy? Learn something new every day.

A little too much retreating to talking points. No serious scientist not working for a carbon company or one of their wholely owned political franchises denies that climate change is occurring due to CO2 emissions. Those changes will rock our world in ways we can’t even imagine for at least 200 years.

No serious activist denies the benefits of cheap energy to the human condition, and the benefits of coal and petroleum in that respect.

The issue is what was the moral responsibility of these companies when they discovered, over 30 years ago, that their emissions posed risks to both the public health and the planet’s climate. If they had invested in research for alternatives, we would be much further down that path than we are today. Instead they invested in lying about it, proprietary oxygenates like MTB that poisoned the water and the Murdoch empire to lie to the public on a planetyary scale. The efforts of the Obama administration took us further down the road to scalable alternative energy than the nonsense that Exxon puts on TV.

But I guess if you are a citizen, you don’t have to be a good citizen.

I know, big coal. but killing miners for sport and profit is easier now under Trump:

Quote:
A new report from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine said that coal companies must change their methods for controlling underground miners' exposure to coal dust to address the uptick in black lung disease. The report recommends that the Mining Safety and Health Administration and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health improve monitoring and review the causes of the increased cases of the disease.

Profits for pig oil went up by billions. Some of this comes back to fund Republicans. Robbing from our grandchildren, who will pay for the increased nationl debt and dealing with climate change.

Drain the swamp? No no, I am alligaor, hear me roar.

The most corrupt administration in history.
