Actually, nothing is required to expedite isobars over 10K. We all know that he's a hard working self starter striving tirelessly to maintain his high profile here, for good or ill. Nothing will stop him from pontificating about himself and the Gorge, or about arguing endlessly about anything else. There's no one quite like isobars.

No question about it, and he'll breeze by 10K to haunt us all endlessly into the future. But, the uniqueness he offers has its responsibilities. From what I understand, it keeps him up at night.

okay, so here goes..........
This windsurfing world of ours is something special, and unfortunately
seems to be getting smaller.
Isobars is one of the salt of the earth windsurfers who always has an opinion
about all things windsurfing.
You may or may not always agree with his opinions, but one thing for sure is that he always has an opinion and has the balls to post it.

It makes for interesting conversation and I know if I ever met him, I'm sure I would enjoy agreeing or disagreeing with him on various topics. To me, THAT is what makes someone interesting.

Far too often, people are ready to jump on the band wagon of what is considered to be politically correct, whether it be about windsurfing or whatever. And that is boring and predictable.
Think about how many people actually make the effort to post on this forum-it's not that many. Isobars helps to keep it interesting.

So, here's to speaking your mind and providing/provoking conversation.

Cheers,

G

Very Happy

I have no problem with differing opinions. With mr iso, it's not what he says, it's how he says it.

Ditto. I've really appreciated reading the advice of all the regular posters, including Iso, and have learned a great deal. A secret dream of mine is to get the top 10 posters on the Windsurfing Discussion forum together, first to meet them all and put names with faces, then to listen as they have a round-table discussion on the various recurring topics: seat v. waist, BFF v. FFF, SDM v. RDM, cam vs. RAF, etc. Eva, the Board Lady, who seems to be a demi-god, could moderate.
