We had an excellent afternoon on the 4th at Wacko Bay. Yesterday I went out in 10 m.p.h. or less winds and actually had some fun with a 5.9 North Duke.

Along with being a wisea$$ and an a$$hole, some would consider me on the skinny side. At 5-11ish and in the 135 range, getting wetsuits to fit is kinda hit and miss.

For the better part of 10 years, I’ve gotten along well with a Promotion 3 mil long leg / short sleeve suit for sailing. I like the 3 mil and keeping the sun off is a bonus.

My best efforts have not uncovered that combination by any of the brand name mfg’rs.

Anyway, I pulled the trigger on a new Storm model at the not cheap price of $275.

Thank goodness the Storm series is not recommended for Kiting or vice versa as the “other” version has a flame pattern. Think tank researchers must have concluded that flames are needed to balance out the lower level shorts affect.

The new version has a shark skin like front, just the thing for Cape Cod Sailing. Speaking of sailing, another stretch of good weather is upon us. Low afternoon tides and light SW winds perfect from slogging or SUP’g; I’m gonna try the latter.

Maybe with a little luck all the rich kid parents will think twice about letting junior out into the waves. I’m not being derogatory, just impressed to see $60-80k German made SUVs along side my rusted out piece of sh!t.

Just in case you haven't, you might want to check Xcel, some of their suits come in an ST (5'9''-6', 145-160lb) and they recommend a size up if you're in-between. Comfortable and reasonably priced suits...

Thanks, you're right on with the info

I've got a brand new 5/4 hoodie in size ST.

In case you are from not around here, Cape Cod is getting burnt out on wildlife.

Sharks, 1 horny Black bear, Coyotes, Foxes, Hawks.

In the past week my kid's cat, which I take care of, has tangled twice with a fox, cat fur and a 4' stretch of fly-infested intestine was left in the front yard, and my daughter just caught, on her phone, a hawk snagging a rabbit right at our front door. Hopefully global warming and / or the far right will kill off some of these species

ummm errr.... that was me this am. Until the sup-kook hordes invaded

I hear you on the cat kill rabbit gut/intestine issue....My cat should go to jail for murder and mayhem.

And I found the REAL PROBLEM last nite in the van. Somehow my 400 mast has been in there for like a while. WTF do i need with a 400? That thing is outta the van.....things should return to normal.
