Just for the folks who keep asking what level of neoprene to wear, I still need a 5/3 fullsuit, and MANY guys are still wearing 5 mm dry suits. Some skinny guys are are still wearing vests over 6mm suits. I would turn into a woman before even beach starting if I were wearing a shorty with both air and water @ 62, as in yesterday. |

Ya know, you'd make one ugly women, but I get your reference. The
water has been cold this year (it was cold last year too), and high.
I'm fat this year, and I'm still in a 5/3 full suit. I wore my drysuit
yesterday early at Doug's because it was freak'n cold. By 2 PM
I switched back to my 5/3. 62 degrees at The Dalles dam, brrrrrrr.

I saw a Walmart shopper years ago who was a dead ringer for Nikita Kruschev. It wouldn't have been as disconcerting if the shopper hadn't been a woman. |
