Under my list of available NorCal spots is "Raul's." I've been sailing here for 20 years and never heard of anywhere named Raul's. Plus there is no data. Plus there is something indicating that it is in Mexico.
What is the deal? |

The only Raul's I've heard of is south of the boarder. Looking to make a trip down there after July 4th. The talk around town was that it was a popular place in the 90's, but isn't too well traveled today.

I've driven through there over a hundred times. It was sailable about 10 of those times. But it is an incredible wave sailing spot. You must be careful about the safety of your car and gear. Probably only need your large wave board unless you're going to San Carlos. They used to charge to park there. Late summer can be like Maui if you hit the right water temp and sunshine factors.

A big wave board is definitely the call. Bring a surfboard, too. It doesn't get as much traffic as it used to, but the family that owns it dug out a ramp down to the water, so the access is much easier now. |

Wasn't that a launch site into San Pablo bay? Maybe the name of a restaurant or something? |

Nice! Just a few miles north that would be a felony! Thanks for the info. Looking forward to dropping my gear onto the sand from my truck. |

Yah, I had heard of somewhere south of the border named Raul's.
Maybe it is a programming mistake and should not be listed in NorCal, or maybe it is that mystery San Pablo spot... |

FYI, Rauls/Local Mex has been rocking the last 3 days. head-high surf, and 5.2-5.8 |
