its not that bad to just launch at Ft Baker/Yellow Bluff easy walk down the rocks get the gear in the water watch and wait for the right puff and step start off the rocks and away you go. I have never had to swim out have had to swim in a few teams but ,mostly able to sail back to the rocks. really need to pay attention on when the right time to head in is. For sure an advanced expert launch but really not that sketchy just pay attention to what others have already said. I have had to climb up the cliffs around the corner trying to get back on a fast dying breeze and a flood. Swimming hard I just managed to get caught in the back eddy that sucked me in under yellow bluff. managed to get everything on the rocks and climb up and out. kinda over driving across the bridge to launch at crissy to only sail upwind and sail under the bridge so why not launch closer to where you want to sail
