Or the holes aren't big enough for the pins to seat properly.
I found this issue with an extension and double pin universal that appeared to connect properly, but I experienced board and sail separation a couple of times and then found the answer. Just drill the holes a mm larger so the pins pop out through the holes a bit more and stay secure. |

Thanks guys, i looked but negative on both possibilities you mentioned, the boom holes seem reasonably round, although not clean holes like aluminum, the carbon spauls apparently. And the pins engage through the holes enough to lock the collars.
I will try more outhaul to lock the rear of the boom more on the previously used sail, and I'll try a different sail to see if there is still some rearend oscillation or not.
Hopefully that does it, otherwise it may need some mini- suspension fork lockout like on a mountain bike! _________________ Carve the face! |
