I wonder how well the liberal media covered the fact that Clinton was impeached for perjury -- for undermining the very foundation of our entire legal system by lying under oath -- rather than for defiling OUR White House.

Another incitement (not incisive) from Mr. Ficktion. I realize you were in the admitted infancy of your political awareness at that time, but even you should know the difference between a charge and a conviction. The Senate acquitted President Clinton based on what everyone knows was a highly politicized investigation -notwithstanding any politicized administrative justice meted out by the Senate.

The topic and trial of impeachment dominated the news for several years by just about every commercial media outlet in the world. Where were you? Oh, right . . .squawking endlessly about it on rec.windsurfing!

Here's a bit of info about ovarian cysts and the role of the birth control pill in their treatment:

I know a woman who, as a young teen, suffered greatly from PMS. She got migraines capable of splitting icebergs, felt nauseated to the point of regular vomiting for 15% of her days and pretty much was bedridden for several days each month. Her pediatrician prescribed birth control and her life turned around in a matter of weeks.

Sometimes life requires compromise, and what seems to some like a principled argument may result in a plan with disastrous consequences. The Santorati here ought to give that some thought before writing in platitudes and pejoratives.

-edited for clarity -specifically that I commented on Florian's post, not the exchange between he and Bard or anyone else.

I am guessing that everyone here would have no problem with prescription birth control pills being covered by insurance as would any other prescription medication if they are prescribed to treat a medical condition.

I don't know, but under current day insurance programs, are birth control pills covered for medical reasons or not? If so, then where's the problem?

Those wanting free birth control from the ACA should have to pay their own way, unless they are in poverty and under Medicaid. Plus BC is already free from Planned Parenthood and other women's organizations.

If current insurance programs don't cover birth control pills for medical reasons, then a simple mandate could cover this just like any prescription.

Why does this issue appear to be so complex, am I missing something?

Laughing = joking in my prior post.

As for the woman who had blinding headaches etcetera prior to receiving the pill, was it cause or effect. Maybe her headaches left after having plenty of sex. In other words, maybe it wasn't the pill, but instead the man that relieved her conditions... Laughing

Bard, your attempt at humor falls short. She was about 13 at the time.

Ha Ha Ala David Letterman and Palin's daughter...but he knew. I didn't.

BTW new study run over course of peoples live's says that wealthy folks have a more positive outlook on life than the poor ones. (no not after they got rich, but before they got rich) This takes into account their socio-economic equality at the beginning of the study.

No wonder all the leftists want to take other peoples money. They think it will make them happy. But it won't.

The transcript of Sandra Fluke's testimony is right here. Shame on you, Isobars. You're not only a liar but a mean one at that.

Again? "Liar", with no proof? Are you 10 years old?
Is this Al Franken?

Your link takes us to some site requiring a login, so I can't read it, but I've seen her commentary (Congressional testimony is different from non-expert citizens, especially ideological activists, offering their opinions) at length many times. My comments are based directly on her answers to the congressional panel and her long-term self-described history as a women's rights activist with emphasis on pro-abortion. Your accusation is based on ... what? ... prejudice against people who hate socialism? People wiling to debate you? People who accurately dissect your ideology for all to see clearly?

The dems, specifically White House Communications Director Anita Dunn, have been caught with their hands up Fluke's butt right up to their elbows, puppet style, and it tainted the White House and the entire left wing as those facts emerged with hard copy proof. Anybody getting their news from the Right side of MSNBC saw those links surface last week.

But I'll humor you: What did I say that was not true?

Ummm...I didn't write that. Now, Don Q is tilting at me for Feuser's comments. Again I am complimented.
