I have a 1990s Fanatic Gecko board 105L red hard plastic skin with a foam core. The nose had been getting soft on the edges for a couple of seasons and I patched them with Marine Tech. Last season, the front foot and a half broke off - it is still attached with the plastic on the top of the board. Is it possible to repair this kind of damage? Is there someone in the Oakland area that can do this?

Thanks
Michael

It may not be worth repairing if there is alot of water in it. Does it feel heavy now?
Stand it up for a week or so, with the damaged part facing down so the water can drain out. Drill a hole in the nose if there's not a hole there already for a drain.
boardsportsschool dot com in Alameda can help you get it repaired.

BTW, I used to have a Gecko 105, it was a great board.

Even though you might not want to do this kind of repair yourself, I would recommend reviewing the Boardlady's website. It will provide an excellent survey of board repair, to include lots of great photo details. This kind of information will really you up to speed about board construction and repair.
