Palin was certainly ridiculed unfairly. Did she invite it?
Some the bits that made her look foolish to the widest audience were acted out on Sat Night Live. When her campaign complained they switched to a series of hilarious skits in which they quoted her word for word as dialogue.
When quotes straight out of your mouth make you look bad...... |

A bit early for my first list, but I loved The Undefeated. John Wayne was great! _________________ Support Your Sport. Join US Windsurfing!

Nothing that was said about Palin that claimed she was unqualified or narcissistic was unfair. But it killed McCain as an example of bad judgement under pressure. |

Coboard has nicely summed up the things he has been supporting in his posts. This is why his thoughts have been so popular on this forum. |

Suppose Rush's little head is as small as his butt is big? |

She was a hick, but in 10 years, she'll be a she-devil. She kicked Exxon's ass, cleaned up Republican corruption in Alaska, and knew nothing about international affairs or international politics. I believe she's very smart though and will come back firing both barrels in 10 years. If you watch the movie and really think about what she did in Alaska, you should be impressed from the right or left. She came from a very humble background. |

Bard, are you prepared to invest in her candidacy in the future? I have to ask, where do you think that she will get the smarts one needs to really hit the big time? You know, she'll need to greatly impress a lot more sophisticated crowd than those easily enthralled today. |

I looked up Palin and Corruption to see if there were any factual basis to the claims she makes in her self written film.
WOW She was involved in corruption but not in the way she claims.
She billed the state 317 days in a hotel in her first 19 months in office.
The hotel was her house. Since the state capital was her "work station" every time she made a political call from her home that was a travel day in which she billed a hotel room.
Her favored corrupt practice was using her authority for personal vendettas for instance to pressure the library to remove boooks that Palin wanted banned, or firing policemen who her daughter broke up with.
She supported the bridge to nowhere until it saw the light of day, then was against it.
She abandoned the people who elected her when she saw a bigger paycheck elsewhere. There is alot more online.
Did the film mention any of this? |
