I just got a new(er) car and wen with sport instead of utility this time Laughing My new car doesnt have fold down seats and is too pretty to but a rack and boards on top so I was going to go with a mini trailer. I was considering the smallest harbor freight trailer but even it is rated at a beefy 750lbs, which would probably be bouncy with just a few boards and gear. Does any one know of a tiny road legal trailer thats rated closer to 300lbs with the skinny bike style tires, and isnt expensive? (or of a place to buy the skinny large wheels and hubs to make one)

Maybe you should buy a cheap ugly truck. And leave the car out of the salt.

Maybe you can pay a friend with a van who's always there to drive your gear around. Concierge windsurfing, it could be a thing.

Yep, it'll be much cooler and prettier towing a trailer. ;*)

If you have a high speed commute about an hour, you'll need a trailer with
at least 12" wheels. The small 8" wheels on those Chinese trailers spin too fast. The tires and bearings will give out in a short time time and potentally spill your stuff all over the highway. Those trailers are ment for
infrequent trips to the dump or HW store.
Check out the trailers on the site: "eandj.on.ca". They have many picts of custom WS trailers, plus they'll do custom.
They are in Canada but will deliver to the states. There are several folks in
the bay area that have them, excellent quality and light weight.

Chuck that sporty car and buy a MUCH sportier one which can haul several boards and sails inside and get you to Hood River in 25 minutes ... 30 on Hiway 14. Just tell the cops, " But, Dood ... it's BLOWING!" They'll let you go, fer shure.

I just sold that car, largely because a cop told me through my driver's window that "We watch these things very closely".

Within the last couple years there was a thread here that included a lightweight trailer that I think would fit what you're interested in. However, as I recollect, the trailer wasn't a fully enclosed type where everything was inside and out of sight. The post included pictures and the seller's website for further review. The guy was pulling it with an Audi. You might want to do some searching to bring it up.

I was aiming for a sports wagon, but 5speeds are near impossible to find and people want huge amounts of money for anything like that right now. Im too poor to be that choosey Laughing
