If you're going to watch ONE sporting event this year, this should be it. And yes, I know it's barely halfway through February. Trust me, nothing else will come close to being this exciting for the rest of the year (except maybe Pozo if Koester nails a triple forward). Having surfed Pipe more than 50 days in the winter months.....
That's small backwashed, lumpy Pipe, nothing close to classic.
I'd go for T-Poo paddle in myself. Most of those days are cleaner, longer, and much bigger.

mm, yeah, the waves in the finals weren't "perfect," but they still looked pretty dang good to me. The "macking" comment was from the earlier rounds a few days prior... Anyway, it was the performance of the athletes and the excitement of the competition that I found to be entertaining...
