I'll take 4/14. I predict a very warm Saturday and the water temp will pierce 50. We'll all be at the beach drinking Pina Coladas to celebrate the start of summer. And a week later it should snow Cool

If so, the contest is over Laughing

Seems like you already had a good date, with it being Friday the 13th and all. Don't give in to triscadecaphobia or someone else will take that date!

This is going to get very close....I'll pick April 16th - Patriot's Day, in honor of our super Superbowl contenders!

OK, great. That was fun.

The guessing is now closed. Iceratz is correct the official measure is the

http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=44020

One Feb 3 current temp is 40.5, up a degree from when we started taking guesses.

Later this Summer we will do another where we guess how high that reading gets in the heat of summer. Will it pass 80F this year?

When I was looking there I noticed this

http://www.nefsc.noaa.gov/psb/surveys/ along with a warning about right whales in the area.

apparently, there were about a dozen right whales in Cape Cod Bay last week, right off of Corporation.

Good luck to all. I have the earliest guess at March 15.

later.
