I have the 105L OW Excoet, IMO it is a average planer, mine is a convertible, so 1 2 3 4 will all work.
I don't feel anything over this size is in reality a wave board ,
but if you want bigger in size, I would suggest the KODE
unless you have deep pockets or manic desire, then the Witchcraft Chakra
for a custom, have Jon at Moo Custom make you one **** _________________ K4 fins

I disagree as long you can sail the wave, even on a 200 liter SUP with a Sail on it its better then "actually not sail a lot haha" the wave with a 100 liter board in 10 miles wind and 200 lb weight aka "sinker". I rather be on a AHD Sealion 135 liter or 150 liter XL and just take any wave I want with out balancing on my sinker. But there is different ideas so I am cool with that but don't exclude bigger boards from being fun.

you have answered your own point.
Its not a wave board
its a SUP with a sail
never said big boards were not fun, just that over 105L not a wave board,
put another way
If I ride my Tabou Rocket in the ocean waves is it a wave board ? _________________ K4 fins

I can ride my slalom board in waves works not so well but it will some how run down the wave face haha you are correct in that. The AHD Sealion are made to ride waves the idea was to have a Windsurf board for all this sucky days where it blows 5 to 15 miles and you could ride waves but you really cant well as your regular Wave Windsurf board either slog super slow or sinks all the time. The main difference is the AHD Sealions are Windsurf boards and not SUP despite you can paddle them all day long as you can a school or beginner windsurf board too.
The difference between a SUP and a Windsurf board I think is its ability to plan a AHD Sealion actually can plan and a SUP can not or only halfway since the rocker line will prevent them from planning like a windsurfboard.
So my point is a AHD Sealion is a 115, 135 or 150 liter Windsurf Wave board not a SUP with a sail. And I say Wave board because it carves the waves like a fishtail surfboard would do. Just to clarify that.

Most intriquing, one that most of you haven't considered...
StarBoard TerjeHaakanson 7'9" x 31.5" "SUP", with full tail rocker, although less than most longboard surfboards, with an added mast track.
At under 8', can actually ride waves. Needs U to install the mast track and front footstrap inserts. |

No doubt that I'll be looking at their new boards. However they are shorter and shaped differently than the exo wave line. I have an x-wave 103 and it doesn't quite have the feel of the 105. I'd say it is slightly stiffer on a wave than the 105. Still a very good board though. |

Does anyone have feedback on the RRD Freestyle Wave 116? That is their 2012 largest size, so hasn't been around long.
I sold my Minitanker through Windance consignment, and could use the proceeds toward the RRD, which they sell. |

Ditto on the Naish All Terrain 115 liters, I have one and although it's my light wind board I have sailed it at Waddell with a wave fin. Not made anymore, but a Fanatic Freewave comes in 115 or 116 I think, I have a 95 liter Freewave, like it too, and suspect the bigger Freewave would work well enough. |
