Soccerguy, after looking closely at the info that the seller has given on the Lambada, I think that it would make a good beginner board for you and your significant other. I was able to put a 7.4 on the Samba and sail light winds. So you might want to buy a bigger sail if you spend a lot of time on the water. Looking at the package, though, I think the price is fair if you are going to use everything. My Samba was stolen (it isn't the one for sale) because at the time I had storage difficulties. Remember, once you buy it, you own it!!! As you can see from some of these comments here, you will have a hard time turning this kind of equipment over for cash. As the seller noted, the Calypso was the generic version while the Samba the deluxe, lighter version. I eventually bought a Calypso with tons of accessories at a yard sale for $100 ten years ago. (As with much of the old board sales, the universal was the only thing missing :D ) |
