Longer period, bigger waves.
Periods 20 seconds and longer, even when they say it's "4', 23 second period", can mean true 10' waves, 3/4 mast high.
Same "4', but 9 second periods", might mean 4' wind waves, about chest high at the biggest.
Add the different component's to the mix, and it's gonna take a decipther. |
