hey guys, i just bought a new sail: http://www.loftsails.com/2011/produits/advance/
i need to buy the mast and extension but i don't really understand the technical info:
Size: 6.5
Mast: 452
Boom: 204
Required mast: 430/21 RDM
RDM or SDM compatibility: 430 460 RDM SDM
Does this mean mast 430cm + 21cm Extension?
Thanks |

430 mast and 22 extension.
The 21 refers to mast stiffness, which you should not worry about, as almost all 430 masts are 21 flex rating. |

you might be able to get away with a 460 if needed, it might be a little stiff like 23/25. I have a sail that is 396ish and says 370 but i go both ways and will do a 400 which might be stiffer then recommended but works fine. |

yea, i saw the buy/sell section of this site. Most sellers are very far from los angeles so i think the shipping charges are going to be as much as the item itself.
btw what's the difference between the:
STANDARD ALUMINUM EXTENSION
SKINNY ALUMINUM EXTENSION
do i need the standard? |

As long as they're on the west coast it won't be much. I shipped a 5.5 sail to Washington state for $12.00
Standard Ext.= For the larger diameter masts
Skinny Ext.=For the reduced diameter masts _________________ The Time a Person Spends Windsurfing is not Deducted from their Lifespan...

Hi Magalh,
Working at Big Winds in Hood River - we're having a close out on all our rental equipment - for example $275 for 91% RDM No Limtz from the rental fleet!!
Drop us a line and we can go through specs, prices and shipping options.
Good Winds

Hey magalh,
I have a Severne Redline 100% Carbon Mast Reduced Diameter mast and a Severne Wave Grenade full carbon extension for sale that you might be interested in. Both the extension and the mast are in extremely good shape.
If your looking for a standard diameter mast/extension instead, I have Streamlined extensions and Sailworks 430 75% carbon mast and a Sailworks 460 100% carbon mast. The 430 has been used for two summer seasons (june-august) and the 460 has only been used for one season. Both masts are very good condition as well.
Every year, I get a quiver and use it for the summer (I go to university in the off season). At the end of every season I sell all the gear and get next years gear. Right now I have slalom, wave, formula, formula experience and freeride sails/boards/gear in a few different brands for sale. If your interested or would like Hi-Res photos of any of the gear, just send me an email at zejaymon@comcast.net and we can work out a deal.
Thanks,
Jay |
