Not gonna lie. 15 of 15 days with wind here in San Carlos. We coulda used a bit more swell the second week, but we rode waves every day.
Good crew the last 2 weeks. Tyson made a shot at the 15 Baja fog record and made it to 12 with some coaching and forced water breaks. And he was surprisingly together this morning.
Tomorrow we pack it up and go pick up the trailer in El Rosario then head south to Guerrero Negro.
We should be basking in the 90 degree warmth and windy weather by Tuedsay night. Vroom Vroom.

We made it!!!!!!
Left San Carlos and hit the road hit El Rosario and picked up our trailer from Emerita’s (Solosports head chefs house) then 8 hours later we were in Guerrero Negro. Crashed in a hotel and took the first full pressure 30 minute shower in 3 weeks. So Fresh So Clean. There was some gnarly dirt bypass North of Guerrero Negro that was almost as bad as the San Carlos road, but all and all the improvements on MEX 1 are awesome, and in many spots the road is so wide it feels like the good ol USA.
Woke up the next morning and hit the road by 9:30 AM. Made it to Bahia Concepcion by mid afternoon. The van started overheating in the mountains to the South due to the fact that it was around 100 degrees and we were towing an overloaded trailer. We made a couple stops to let ‘er cool down and refill the radiator but, the van was a champ. Plus the lag time gave us a chance to make a game out of throwing rocks down the cliffs at bottles and plastic water jugs.
By 9PM we were in La Paz grabbing bacon wrapped hot dogs at one of our favorites spots. A Ballena later we were in LV and it was HOT. So hot we couldn’t sleep with the fan going, and the thought of putting a sheet on our sweaty backs was preposterous.
Spent the next day installing all the new parts we brought down for our fleet of 6 ATVs, and a stiffer back spring for the dirtbike, sweating balls in the garage. Went out in the evening and hung with all our local familia and even they agreed it was hot as Sh&*%. But fortunately they told us we were supposed to get wind Wednesday or Thursday. We woke up this morning Wednesday and it was still hot as Hell.
By 12 noon today (Wednesday 26th) the wind started to pick up and we rigged up and hit the water for some windsurf fishing. FISH ON!! So far we are at 100%, we both caught nice sized Sierras (Spanish Mackerel) with a bunch of bites to keep it fun. It felt like the beginning of a Norte Wind (which is supposed to show up tomorrow) we were fully planing on the 5.4s and SUPs (coulda got planing on the freestyle boards with the same sail though).
There are a few new stores in town, Pablo’s should open in the next couple days but Tacos Leon is going full blast and we had our first Hot Dog Especiales from Rucci last night.
Ohhhhh yes, its on!!!

Ya Beric, goiterfest went pretty well. Goiter Boy 2 AKa Mike threw a bunch until he decided he needed his anlkles for the last couple swell days. Joey and dug went out and threw a couple and they both came close.
San Carlos is literally the easiest place in the world to try Goiters due to the side off shores and long swell lines. Ponch fest in the Gorge would take some serious commitment. Better to keeep them games to PSC.

Right on Johnyyo.
Baja is delivering. The first Norte wind of the season blew in today.
Blowing steady 5.0 by 8AM. Its kinda crazy cause the last 2 years we drove south from San Carlos with a Norte at out backs the whole way, and this time we headed South a couple days earlier and just barely outran the wind.
I guess we got a bit more settled with our two days of lag time so no need for as much frantic rigging, but we sure aren't getting much work done on the gear sheds. And we haven't really had a chance to rally on the quads...Hot springin is out of the question porque hace mucho calor.
The iwindsurf graph doesn't really do it justice. Tyson had to rig down from the 4.9 to the 4.5 mid afternoon.
Looks like tomorrow should be the same. The swell is up so we will probably get a SUP Surf sesh in the morning down at the generals.
I will post some pics of today in a bit.
5:30 here and the wind is still crankin. Definitely gonna get a SUP surf sesh in the morning.

Ha ya we know, Scargo. But since they probably have Facebook blocked at your work we figured we would hook you guys up with another avenue to good times down South.
The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity answered,
“Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”
Basically take more vacations.

Wind was steadier yesterday than Thursday. Tyson was on a 4.5.
Spent then morning flattening out our gear shed area, wish we had a photo of our "Horse and Plow" system, but here it goes.
8 ft 4x4 with a rack strap on each end connected to the rear rack of the Green Quad.
Then tyson standing on the 4x4 leaning back against another hand held rack strap connected to the quad. Me driving. It was pretty hilarious and it worked impeccably. Got the carpets laid, now we set up the gear sheds.
