First, to Matty , please your the political commentary restricted to the political/off topic forum. I'll discuss his topic just to put it to rest. The Town of Winthrop's building inspector (as local as it gets, BTW) gave false testimony to the court regarding alleged building violations, the result of which was for pending criminal charges to be levied without merit or good cause as his cease and desist was already up for appeal. The amount of stress and anxiety created by this jerk contributed to a very caustic environment for my business colleague who just moved to Winthrop. Local government, or lack of state and Federal government, is no automatic solution to the success of small business.

To all others who care strongly about our wonderful sport, thank you. Winthrop's resistance caused them to loose a what surely would become a contributing member of the community and asset to the kids who live there, from basic employment to training with Olympic contenders.

All the watersports gear was sold in bulk. Nothing remains to pass along.

That said, if anyone local wishes to buy a SUP, local Josh Angulo makes some of the best. That's why I chose to support his brand and still encourage others to do so.

Thanks again for the positive words and growing support! You guys are terrific. Windsurfing lives on and will continue to thrive with your support for local shops and events.

What a pity. I was hoping to FINALLY stop by this spring and sail with you, Dan.

A loss certainly from a business perspective, but much more so for the kids and the community in Winthrop. What are they thinking..?

I am not sure if anything is left to try and reverse that outcome. Let me know if there is.

cheers,

Florian

I live in Florida and have no connection to New England.
I am just glad to hear that there is someone trying to bring new people into the sport. I have posted elsewhere on iwindsurf that here in Florida our sport is almost extinct. Kiting and sup have almost completely taken over. I applaud Dan and your rental operation trying to get people involved without having to buy an entire quiver.

Where is the moderator about these two people "pueno" "speedysailor" and their aliases? They have a beef with each other and hijack the threads to hurl insults at each other. Intelligent conversation is impossible with this kind of behavior

Good lord Dan was that really a POLITICAL STATEMENT. Still sounds to me like the local GOVERMENT was busting your balls.
Sorry for showing my support.
