So I have brought up this topic before but have never found a permanent solution. A used board I got came with footstrap screws that had stripped heads on them. I ended up getting #11 or #12 screws and putting some 5200 sealent/adhesive in with them when I screwed them into holes that had not been used yet.

When I picked up the board the other day I noticed one of the screws felt like it was pulling out. I would ideally get a new set of the screws that came with the board and use the holes that were originally used.

Does anyone know where you can find the footstrap screws that come from the manufacturers of the boards. After some research I have discovered they are designed for use with carbon and plastic composites and can't be found anywhere.

I have footstrap screws for Cobra-made boards. I don't have them listed on the website, but you can email or call me, and I'll send them out.

Why can't you post what board you have?
Can you buy a fender for a CAR, without knowing it's make and model?
Can be machine screws, can be #10 sheetmetal, can be #12 wood.

I had a similar problem with a footstrap insert recently and tried a different approach. I used a brass threaded insert:

here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0026GUEN4/ref=asc_df_B0026GUEN41654921?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395093&creativeASIN=B0026GUEN4

You can usually find them at your local Ace Hardware store.

I was careful not to drill any deeper than the length of the insert using a bit the same diameter as the barrel of the insert. Then I took a large screw driver and screwed brass insert into the freshly drilled hole. Once I was sure the insert was going to fit properly, I removed the insert, smeared J-B Weld on the outside threads and put it back into the board. Next I took a stainless steel machine threaded footstrap screw and ran it into the machine threaded portion several times to clean the threaded portion of any J-B weld. Voila! Works great!
